Peter Lengsfelder Peter Lengsfelder is recognized as a pioneer in visual litigation strategy. His extensive national broadcast, educational media, and cognitive studies expertise, informs his consultation to the nation's most influential law firms. His storytelling, visualization and analytical skills have produced successful strategy, legal graphics and video in such notable cases as Amazon.com v. Barnes&Noble.com, Hilgraeve v. Symantec, National Resources Defense Council v. Patterson, US v. Koch Industries, and the Williams Companies, Electronic Data Systems and McKesson/Bear Stearns Securities Class Actions.

Mr. Lengsfelder has supported such prestigious law firms as Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann; Bingham McCutchen, Cooley Godward; Dickstein Shapiro;Fenwick & West; Goodwin Procter; Heller Ehrman; Howard Rice Nemerovski; Lowenstein Sandler; Morrison & Foerster; Nickens Keeton Lawless Farrell Flack; Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe; Ropers Majeski; as well as the U.S. Department of Justice. His work has included class actions, complex business, construction, employment, environmental, intellectual property, insurance, insurance defense, legal malpractice, oil and gas, patent, product liability, real estate, securities, and white-collar criminal law.

Mr. Lengsfelder's experience includes 17 years producing and directing Emmy-award winning national television and corporate media for such clients as CBS-GroupW, PBS, CNN, the Discovery Channel, Wells Fargo, McGraw-Hill, Simon & Schuster, Apple, Intel, State of California, the NFL, and NBA Entertainment. He began his career in a New York advertising agency directing the Bic Pen, Hamilton-Beach and other major accounts.

Peter Lengsfelder is the author of many articles on legal visuals; new research on cognitive approaches in court; and media and its impact on juries and litigation strategy. He has frequently lectured on the same topics. He is a long-time member of NATAS (the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), the American Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association, the American Society of Trial Consultants, and an Interested Party in the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.



Michael Lerner Michael Lerner has provided successful visual litigation strategy in cases nationally involving class action, construction, conversion, employment, environmental, insurance, insurance defense, intellectual property, land use, legal malpractice, securities, white-collar criminal and wrongful death law. He is the co-host of CLE courses on the subject of litigation visuals.

Mr. Lerner's experience includes writing, producing and directing educational media for over 20 years — documentary films, national television and interactive media, including the award-winning A Taste of China, Holy Defiance, and Frontiers of Technology. His work has appeared on ABC, PBS, numerous cable networks, and internationally throughout Europe and Asia.

Michael Lerner was a founding partner of a ground-breaking multimedia development and Internet company. Since 1991, he has provided new media and adult education consulting services to clients such as Bank of America, US Bancorp Piper Jaffray, GE/Genstar Capital, and to law firms such as Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann, Dickstein Shapiro, Heller Ehrman, Long & Levit, Lowenstein Sandler, Miller Starr & Regalia, Morrison & Foerster, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, Reed Smith, Thelen Reid & Priest (formerly Thelen Marin Johnson & Bridges), and Wood Smith Henning & Berman.

Mr. Lerner is a former Rockefeller Foundation fellow and a member of the Director's Guild of America. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association, and an Interested Party in the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.



Jonathan Walker Jonathan Walker has over thirty years experience in the management of businesses, educational institutions and consulting firms.

Prior to joining Clear Case Legal, Mr. Walker negotiated agreements with attorneys and managed real estate transactions for private landowners, public agencies and land conservancies for the purchase of lands for natural resource preservation purposes.

At Clear Case Legal, Jonathan Walker provides experience and leadership in financial management, strategic planning, human resource administration, operations, business development, team building and organizational learning.



Ashley Stephens Since 1989 Ashley Stephens has been creating litigation graphics, animations, video and interactive content for attorneys nationwide. As a pioneer in the use and integration of early courtroom presentation systems, Ashley gained extensive courtroom experience working on such notable cases as States v. the Tobacco Industry and State of Kansas v. Debora Green, as well as working for such respected clients as Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin; Cooley Godward; Gerrard, Cox & Larson; Heller Ehrman; Kenney & Markowitz; Lathrop & Gage; Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe; Shook Hardy & Bacon; Aventis Pharmaceuticals; Sprint; and SAFECO Insurance.

Ms. Stephen's information graphics have been seen on the internet and television, and used in educational settings. She has experience with satellite and streaming technologies and she helped develop a turnkey courtroom presentation system.

At Clear Case Legal, Ashley Stephens heads development and deployment of all new courtroom, visual and web technologies. She is also responsible for maintaining all production equipment, internal network systems, workstations and the Clear Case website.



Charity Tooze Charity Tooze has supported such prominent law firms as Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann; Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer & Kern; Hayes Davis Bonino Ellingson McLay & Scott; Heller Ehrman; LaMore, Brazier, Riddle & Giampaoli; Miller Starr & Regalia; Morrison & Foerster, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe; Ropers Majeski; and Wood Smith Henning & Berman.

Ms. Tooze's litigation experience includes construction defects, employment, insurance defense, intellectual property, legal malpractice, product liability, securities, white-collar criminal defense, and wrongful death litigation.

Prior to joining Clear Case Legal, Charity Tooze had been writing, producing and directing film and television for five years, including projects for the United Nations and the Congressional Human Rights Caucus.

Ms. Tooze was chosen as a Scholar for The Institute for Civic Leadership, where she focused her policy proposals on the use of media as an educational tool. She has also studied and worked in psychology.



Dianne Yates Since the early 1980's, Dianne Yates has worked with law firms providing software solutions that support practice profitability and reduced administrative costs.

She has introduced solutions supporting increased case wins and implemented applications that enabled efficient cost management. Ms. Yates' roles have included Business Development for Boardroom Strategies; Senior Management and Business Development roles with Digital Equipment Corporation; Outsourced Strategic Services for Thomson Lawbook Company; and Office Automation for Legal Practices, Xerox.

Dianne Yates has experience in U.S., domestic and international business. At Clear Case, Ms. Yates' responsibilities include market research, business development and partner alliances.



Michael McMahon has been providing professional video services to the legal community, nationally and internationally, for 20 years, including videotaped depositions, text-to-video synchronization, site inspections, IMEs, examinations under oath, and courtroom and trial presentations.

Mr. McMahon began his career in San Jose with the Popelka Allard Law Firm where he created the in-house investigation and research department. He has since worked on a number of high profile cases including Lexar v. Toshiba, a $465 million win for Lexar.

Michael McMahon earned his Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) accreditation through the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA).



All front line Clear Case staff are required to continue active legal; media; and information design education, by participating in Continuing Legal Education (CLE), as well as litigation and presentation seminars and forums.

Our team of information design specialists are experienced in legal visualizations, and work on state-of-the-art digital workstations. Our trial technicians are litigation veterans who understand courtroom dynamics as well as the latest technologies.


Clear Case Legal is committed to pro bono work, and encourages and supports staff to provide pro bono hours and company resources to projects of greatest need and impact.

In the past, projects have included producing projects have included supporting a Public Defenders Office with litigation strategy and visuals for a three-strikes defendant; producing media that: supports the development and building of water supplies for people in small villages in Zimbabwe, Africa; educates American farmers about the various issues surrounding genetically-modified crops; and illuminates coming-of-age issues of young women, age 13-22, in the Bay Area.
